Ages 5–7 · Foundations
A real first art studio for little hands
At this age it isn't about masterpieces. It's about falling in love with making things — and quietly building the habits real art is later built on. In a small live class with a real teacher, your child creates, focuses, and finishes something they're proud to show you.
They invent — they don't copy
Every project starts from your child's own idea: their monster, their world, their colours. We give them the tools, and the confidence, to make something that's truly theirs.
Little hands, real control
Holding a brush, mixing a colour, guiding a line on purpose — the fine-motor foundations that steady their hand for drawing, and for writing too.
The quiet superpower: finishing
With a teacher right beside them, your child learns to settle in, focus, and complete a piece — then beams when it goes up on the fridge. Confidence, built one finished artwork at a time.
Ages 8–12 · Serious Skill & Portfolio
Real art skills — start wherever your child is
Whether your child is just starting or already sketching for hours, we build real technique from where they are — and develop a body of work strong enough for DSA, SOTA and AEP. Taught live, in a small group, by an artist who actually makes art.
Learning to truly see
The one skill that separates a real artist from a doodler: drawing what's actually in front of them, not the symbol in their head. It's also the skill art-selection panels assess most closely.
Real technique — never tracing
Shading, proportion, perspective, colour, composition: the craft of making a picture hold together. Taught at your child's level, from first foundations to advanced.
A portfolio that opens doors
A growing collection of strong, varied, original work — exactly what DSA, SOTA and AEP panels look for. We make your child portfolio-ready.
The Singapore art pathway, explained
- From Primary 6, children can win early secondary-school places on art talent through DSA (Visual Arts), or apply to SOTA and AEP schools.
- Panels look for observational drawing from life, a portfolio of strong and varied original pieces, and the ability to draw well in a timed, on-the-spot test.
- We build the technique, develop the portfolio, and run live timed-drawing practice on camera so your child performs under pressure.
We make your child portfolio-ready. No class can guarantee a place — we make sure they walk in prepared.
That's common, and completely fine. We start with foundations pitched for their age — never the little-kids' projects — and build fast. The trial places your child in the right group.
Why parents choose Artsy Kids
Small live groups
Just [max, e.g. 6] children per class — so your child is seen, heard, and corrected every single session. Never lost in a crowd of forty.
All-in pricing. No surprises
One transparent fee — [price]/month — covers tuition and materials guidance. No registration charges. No hidden materials surcharges.
Live feedback from artists
Every class is led by a NAFA- or LASALLE-trained artist giving personal, real-time feedback on your child's own work — not a pre-recorded video they watch alone.
Create, don't consume
Screen time that builds a real skill and a real body of work — not another hour of scrolling.
Taught by practising artists
Trained at NAFA & LASALLE — and still making art
Your child learns from someone who genuinely makes art, not just teaches it.

My 6-year-old who never finishes anything now sits for the whole class — and brings me a finished painting every week.
— [Name], parent of a 6-year-old
We started at 12 with zero background. I worried she'd be hopelessly behind. One term in, she's shading and drawing from life — and finally proud of her work.
— [Name], parent of a 12-year-old Late starter
By Primary 5 my son had a real portfolio taking shape — varied pieces, not the same drawing ten times over. Exactly what we needed heading into DSA.
— [Name], parent of a Primary 5 student
His shading went from completely flat to actually three-dimensional in a single term. You can see the difference on the page.
— [Name], parent of a 10-year-old
Finally, screen time I don't feel guilty about. She's creating something, not scrolling.

One term of progress
Don't take our word for it — look at the work. Here's what one term of live coaching does for a child's skill.

One trial. The right class. Zero guesswork.
Real art, taught live by real artists — for ages 5 to 12, beginners included. Not sure whether your child belongs in 5–7 Foundations or 8–12 Skill-Building, or where a late starter fits in? That's exactly what the trial is for. Book a trial class and we'll place your child in the right group. If it isn't the right fit, you've lost nothing.
