“Why online instead of a physical class?”

Because for art specifically, online gives your child more of the three things that actually build skill — teacher attention, practice time, and consistency.

The hour you spend travelling becomes an hour of drawing. No cross-island trip, no hour parked in a mall waiting, no rushing dinner. Your evening stays yours.
Nobody else touches their paper. A teacher on screen can correct and guide, but cannot finish it for them. What you see on the fridge is what your child actually made.
No rent to cover. Just teaching. We are not paying for a shopfront or classroom. That's how each lesson sits at only $25 a session. The saving comes out of the overhead, never the lesson quality.
And we still meet in person for events. Outdoor sketching sessions, competitions and exhibition showcases happen offline — online is how we teach every week, not the only time we ever meet.

“Can a child really learn to draw over a screen?”

Fair question. A child watching a video learns nothing. A child being taught, corrected and pushed by an artist who can see their hand moving learns plenty.

The teacher watches the paper, not the face. Your child's work is on camera throughout, so the line is visible as it's drawn — and the mistake gets caught while it's still fixable.
Corrected by name, every session. With only 6 children in the room, nobody hides. Each child is spoken to directly about their own piece.

Ages 5–7

Foundations

At this age it is not about creating masterpieces. It's about falling in love with making things — and quietly building the habits real art is later built on: making, focusing, finishing.

They invent, they don't copy. Their monster, their world, their colours.
Little hands, real control. Grip and brush control that steadies their drawing and writing.
The quiet superpower: Finishing. They settle, focus, and complete a piece they are proud to show you.

Is five too young to start?

Not for this. At five it's tool control, colour and finishing what they start — taught in short, hands-on bursts. Sit nearby for the first few sessions if you like; most children stop needing you by week three.

Ages 8–12

Serious Skill & Portfolio

Real technique from wherever your child is today — beginner or already sketching for hours — building toward a portfolio that stands up.

Learning to truly see. Drawing what's in front of them, not the symbol in their head.
Real technique, never tracing. Shading, proportion, perspective, composition.
Work that leaves the screen. Outdoor sketching sessions, competition entries and exhibition showcases.

New to art at 11 or 12?

Common, and completely fine. We start with foundations pitched for their age — never the little-kids' projects — and build fast. The trial places them in the right group.

The Singapore art pathway, explained

From Primary 6, children can win early secondary-school places on art talent through DSA (Visual Arts), or apply to SOTA and AEP schools.
Panels look for observational drawing from life, a portfolio of strong and varied original pieces, and the ability to draw well in a timed, on-the-spot test.
We build the technique, develop the portfolio, and run live timed-drawing practice on camera so your child performs under pressure.

Straight answers

My child is 11 with no art background. Is 8–12 too advanced?

No. We teach every level in this band, and beginners start with foundations pitched for their age, not the projects we give a 6-year-old. The trial places your child in the right group so they're challenged, not drowning.

Can this really help with DSA, SOTA or AEP?

It builds the three things panels assess: observational drawing, a varied portfolio of original work, and performing under a timed test. No class can guarantee a place, but we make your child portfolio-ready.

How big is a class?

6 children. That cap is the whole model — it's what makes individual feedback possible in every single session.

What supplies do we need?

To start: paper, a pencil, markers. We give you a short list of what to add next, all commonly available in Singapore, and the guidance is included in your fee. There is no separate materials bill.

Is it safe? My child will be on camera.

Classes run in a locked room with a waiting room, parental consent is taken at booking, and recordings are never shared publicly. Parents are welcome nearby at any time.
